BIOGRAPHY

From a young age it has always been my passion to be on stage. Initially, I wanted to perform in musicals - singing, dancing and acting. However, as the years went on, I felt less suited to this career, especially because I couldn't dance. At the age of 8 I was singing in the school choirs and performing at choir competitions, yet I had never performed solo. I joined a theatre group and performed shows at the Rothes Halls and continued to do so for a few years. It wasn't until my last year of primary school that I was given the lead role in the annual Christmas play, that I performed a solo. Up until this point, I wasn't even sure I had a good singing voice. From then I wouldn't stop singing. I joined the high school choir and performed in churches, at coffee mornings, art gallery events, school events and care homes around Fife. I would sing to anyone that would listen. This continued all through high school, and as part of a showcase for the school closing down, I performed and sung the part of "Glinda" in the song "For Good" from the musical Wicked. Since starting the HNC Music course at Perth UHI, I have become the lead singer of the band Between The Lines alongside Kyle Ford, Blair Nicol, Ryan Lochrane and Thomas Harrison and we perform around the Perth and Dundee areas. I also perform duet pieces with fellow singer/songwriter Clare Houston at gigs, open mic nights, in videos on social media and most recently at her debut gig as part of releasing her EP. I have also worked on songs and collaborated with other musicians I know from Perth and musicians on the HNC Music course. My band Between The Lines are looking to record and release an EP relatively soon and a solo EP is hopefully on the horizon.
